Thursday, May 3

  • YLD Council Dinner (YLD Council Members, their families and significant others, and
    invited international guests)

  • Welcome Reception – Club Newtown, 8:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.

    Cost: Free (Cash Bar)
    Join local and international attendees at this private event in Club Newtown, where the
    ambiance, music, lighting and sound system are as unique as the numerous patrons who visit. This popular nightclub is located on Crescent Street, a center for nightlife in
    Montréal.

Friday, May 4

  • Luncheon – “Abraham Lincoln and the Practice of Law in the 21st Century”
    Hyatt, 12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
    Cost: $37 USD (Business Casual Attire)
    This ticketed lunch will feature a presentation regarding the challenges facing the practice of law in the 21st century and what today’s practitioners can learn from Abraham Lincoln.
  • Dinner Dance Social Event – Chalet du Parc du Mont-Royal – 6:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
    Cost: $85 USD April 4 or before; $90 USD after April 4. (Black-Tie Optional)
    Located in Parc du Mont-Royal, a park designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, the Chalet and the attached overlook are one of the most popular destinations in Montréal. From this beautiful overlook one looks down upon the city and the St. Lawrence River. Inside you will be surrounded with large decorative chandeliers, dark wood ceilings and large windows. Eat, drink and dance the night away with old and new friends in this beautiful location.

Saturday, May 5

  • Closing reception – Jello Bar, 151 Ontario Est, 10:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m.
    Cost: Free
    Sponsored by the Young Lawyers - Canadian Bar Association.

    After informal dinners with new and old friends, meet up at the Jello Bar for a closing party hosted by our good friends from the Young Lawyers - Canadian Bar Association. Drink tickets to be provided.

    Please note: Despite the name of the venue, the event at Jello bar is not open to children. Thank you for your understanding.
