On behalf of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the joint Spring Conference between the ABA YLD and the Young Bar Association of Montréal to be held in beautiful Montréal on May 3-5, 2007. This will be the first time in twenty years that the ABA YLD has held its conference in Montréal. Therefore, we are pulling out all the stops to make sure it is a conference to remember. And, with a beautiful, friendly, and historic city like Montréal, and the participation of the Young Bar Association of Montréal and its outstanding leadership and members, the conference is certain to be a once in a young lawyer life-time event.
Through diverse and high quality programming, the conference is designed to appeal to all types of young lawyers, including young lawyers from the U.S., Canada, Europe and other parts of the world. Whether you are a new lawyer or a tenth year lawyer looking for substantive and practical programming, or the leader of a young lawyer organization looking to become a more effective leader, the Spring Conference is certain to satisfy your interests and goals.
But, this conference isn’t just about programming. Instead, it is designed to expose young lawyers to different legal systems and to provide young lawyers with an opportunity to network with young lawyers from other legal systems. One of the greatest experiences I have had as Chair of the ABA YLD is representing the Division at conferences of international young lawyer organizations and getting to spend quality time with their members in their own cities. Through this joint conference you will be able to share in this outstanding and worthwhile experience.

Au nom de l’Association du Jeune Barreau de Montréal (AJBM) et de son conseil d’administration, nous avons l’immense honneur de vous présenter cette année le congrès conjoint de l’AJBM et du American Bar Association, Young Lawyers’ Division (« ABA-YLD »), qui aura lieu à Montréal du 3 au 5 mai 2007.
l’AJBM et l’ABA YLD ont décidé cette année de présenter et organiser un congrès conjoint entre les deux associations. Il s’agit d’un événement unique qui réunira des conférenciers d’envergure et des confrères et consoeurs avocat(e)s, non seulement américains et montréalais, mais également européens. Dans le cadre d’un important nombre de conférences, d’activités de réseautage, d’activités de formation et d’activités sociales et dans une optique d’ouverture sur la scène internationale et sur le monde des affaires, vous aurez la chance d’en profiter autant au niveau professionnel que personnel. Vous aurez l’opportunité de rencontrer des membres du l’ABA-YLD, dirigée par une équipe dynamique et professionnelles, d’excellents avocats et surtout de grands amis!

The YBAM is an association that brings together lawyers and attorneys
having less than 10 years of practice, all of whom are registered
in Montreal at the Bar of the Province of Quebec. The association,
which has been operating for well over 100 years, both strives
to protect and promote our members' interests. and provides
free of charge legal consulting and legal education services
to various layers of society, and sets up and coordinates non-profit
and charitable activities.
