Answering the Call

To the credit of so many hard working young lawyer volunteers over many years, the ABA Young Lawyers Division has distinguished itself as the premiere young lawyers organization in the world. Nearly 125,000 members strong, with nearly 300 affiliated state and local young lawyers associations (affiliates), the Division has made its mark as the pro bono and public service arm of the American Bar Association with a number of projects to assist the public. This year’s project is – Answering the Call. A project designed to enhancing the delivery of legal services to people living with HIV/AIDS.

The Affiliate Outreach Project (AOP)

The ABA Young Lawyers Division operates as a partnership with over three hundred autonomous young lawyer organizations that have joined the Division known as Affiliates. The Affiliate Outreach Project (AOP) is the primary vehicle through which the ABA YLD fulfills its mission to provide leadership in serving the public and the profession. AOP provides a wealth of resources and information for the affiliates – whether its regarding programming or how to fund a project – AOP has the answer!
