Step 1 – Register For ABA Midyear Meeting Through The ABA Website

Log onto the ABA's Midyear Meeting website at www.abanet.org/midyear/2007 to register for the Midyear Meeting and to request hotel reservations.

The YLD’s Midyear Meeting hotel is the Intercontinental Miami, located at 100 Chopin Plaza in Downtown Miami. You can also book rooms at other downtown hotels nearby the Intercontinental via the ABA’s website. The housing deadline is 5 p.m. EST, January 5, 2007.

Step 2 – Register for YLD Programs and Social Events

Visit the YLD website www.abanet.org/yld often for program updates. Register for the YLD Midyear Meeting and YLD social events at ABA Meetings YLD Conference registration is complimentary. You can obtain early bird discounts on social event tickets by registering by January 5, 2007. Some social events have limited attendance, so register early.

Cancellations and requests for refunds must be sent to the Division in writing 72 hours prior to the event. No refunds available on-site.

Step 3 – Register to be an Assembly Delegate

An opportunity may exist for you to represent your state as a delegate in the YLD Assembly. Each state has a limited number of delegates, which are generally selected by the Chair or President of your state’s young lawyer organization. To request to be a delegate, please contact your state young lawyer organization’s Chair or President. To learn additional information regarding becoming a delegate click here. Once you are registered to be a delegate, you will need to be certified as a delegate at the Midyear Meeting by obtaining your name tag from the ABA at the Hyatt Regency hotel and then your delegate ribbon from the YLD at the Intercontinental. Please check the schedule for the specific times that you may be certified and obtain your delegate ribbon.

Meeting Attire: We suggest business attire for YLD Programs and Assembly. Business casual is appropriate for social events. Jeans are discouraged and may prevent your entry into some of the venues.
