Partial Travel Funding for Affiliate Leaders
Many of the YLDs 300 affiliate organizations (state and local young lawyer associations) have financial challenges that prevent them from sending members to conferences. To assist our affiliates, the YLD provides a $200 travel reimbursement ($100 a day for two days) to three members of each affiliate; a fourth member is funded if the member is a minority, solo/small firm, government, public sector or military lawyer. This special reimbursement is available for the Fall and Spring Conferences; no advance approval is required. In addition, affiliates who have not sent a representative to a conference in three years can also seek special funding for one-time travel funding; this program requires advance approval. To apply for this one-time special funding, affiliates should contact their YLD District Representative.
