Mentorship Project Website Launched
YLD Chair Lizz Acee
unveiled the ABA Mentorship Project
website at the YLD's Midyear Meeting
Speed Mentoring session, which allowed
more than 75 lawyers and law students
to interact via one-on-one conversations.
The Mentorship Project is an online
collection of resources, designed
for mentors, mentees, and organizations.
As part of the project, the YLD
teamed with StoryCorps® to
share stories on mentorship in the
legal profession. The mentorship
stories are available on the project
website and also archived in the
StoryCorps collection in the Library

Voices
Against Violence Outreach Continues
Massachusetts First
Lady Diane Patrick, a domestic violence
survivor, addressed 40 representatives
from local agencies at the Voices
Against Violence roundtable on February
13. First Lady Patrick spoke of
strategies for legislative advocacy
to prevent domestic violence and
invited all men to take part in
the "White Ribbon Day Campaign" by
pledging to help end violence against
women. In addition, ABA YLD helped
to raise awareness by presenting
a community program to address the
legal needs of teen dating violence
victims and collecting nearly one
hundred bags for a local shelter.
