Affiliate Assistance Team
The Affiliate Assistance Team is the ABA YLD's primary tool for providing direct and timely assistance to its three hundred plus affiliates. The Team is prepared to work with any affiliate requesting assistance.
Purpose of the AAT: The Team is your organization's resource for training, information, and on-site assistance regarding the ABA YLD and all aspects of running a young lawyer organization.
Assistance provided: The Team can provide support through on-site assistance, by providing written materials, and by e-mail or phone consultations. Team members are available to travel to your local bar association meetings to facilitate in-person training workshops at no cost to you. In the past, the Team has been active in facilitating affiliate long range planning meetings and in providing orientation and training for affiliate board members and committee chairs.
Team members: The Team consists of twelve members who are active in the ABA YLD and who have served in and led state and local young lawyer organizations. Each member brings a wealth of knowledge and information regarding the operations of a young lawyer organization.
How to request assistance: To request assistance, simply complete and return the Affiliate Assistance Request Form from the PDF or Microsoft Word download. After reviewing the form, a Team member will contact you to determine the level and type of assistance needed.
Additional questions: Additional questions should be directed to Sonia Miller-VanOort, the 2005-06 Director of the Affiliate Assistance Team.
