Young Lawyers Division 2000-2001

JULY/AUGUST 2000

CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS

SPECIAL PROJECTS
The Division's first focus this year is law and the student citizen: helping today's youth learn about, understand, and appreciate their rights, their responsibilities, and their relationships in a democratic and diverse society. In Scottsdale, two workshops will be available that revolve around this focus:

Coming of Age, from Texas and Nevada: a juvenile-justice program that informs students about their rights and responsibilities as they enter the adult world.

Teens Speak Out, from Arizona: a project that brings together students with policymakers and other community leaders, so that those leaders can hear about the policies and priorities that are important to the next generation.
