How do I join the Commission?
The Commission on Women in the Profession is comprised of twelve members appointed by the ABA President. Candidates should seek nomination by their ABA entity executive committees. One liaison is appointed from each ABA entity to serve as a representative. Interested parties should seek nominations by their entity chair.
What are some of the Commission projects?
The Commission has numerous projects:

What is MWAN?
The Multicultural Women Attorneys Network (MWAN) is a joint project of the Commission on Women and the ABA Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession. The Network addresses issue of special concern to multicultural women lawyers. It produces programs, roundtables and publications to identify the impact of race/ethnicity and gender on the professional development of multicultural women lawyers. In 1994, MWAN published its groundbreaking report, The Burdens of Both, the Privileges of Neither.
