The 33rd Annual TIPS Midwinter CLE Meeting, January 11-14, 2007 is quickly approaching. This time you can get your CLE with a bit of California sun as we go west to the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, CA. As usual, the Life Insurance Law Committee will serve as the host committee. This Midwinter Meeting promises to give you more bang for your CLE buck by providing break-out sessions in addition to the plenary programming. Topics will include class action litigation trends, litigation trends in life insurance and annuities, ERISA interpretation around the circuits, resolving pension plan issues, and the status of attacks on discretionary clauses; in addition, there will be an insurance commissioner roundtable. ABA Annual Meeting
The ABA Annual Meeting will take place this year in Chicago, Illinois, home of the ABA and a city teeming with educational, cultural, social, recreational and epicurean venues. Chicago is full of great museums, including The Museum of Science & Industry, The Chicago Children’s Museum, The Adler Planetarium, The Field Museum and The John G. Shed Aquarium, among others. Chicago also abounds with great parks and green spaces and lots of waterfront activities on Lake Michigan.
