Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section

Insurance Regulation Committee

About The Committee

Insurance Regulation addresses issues involving all insurance regulatory matters at the state and federal level, including Congressional oversight. It includes market conduct, solvency, federal/state and National Association of Insurance Commissioners, and consumer protection issues relating to all lines of insurance. The Committee coordinates closely with others, including the Life and Health, Employee Benefits, and Excess and Surplus Lines Committee.

IR's quarterly Newsletter keeps members up-to-date with the latest case law developments and inside information on current trends and regulation on both the state and federal level.

IR holds meetings throughout the year, where CLE credit eligible programs are presented on regulatory issues such as insurer licensing, admissions and withdrawals, market conduct examinations, and developing trends and controversies in the federal/state arena such as the role of banks in underwriting and sales of insurance products.

We invite you to join IR and become part of our growing membership of in-house and private attorneys actively involved in this exciting practice area.
