Dear TIPS Leader:

As we wind our way toward our 75th Anniversary Celebration, our third stop will be our Spring Meeting in Las Vegas, a town that never sleeps. The Spring Meeting promises to be even better than Palm Beach. We will be there from May 1 to May 4.

Our meeting will be headquartered at the now world renowned, award winning Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa which is located about fifteen minutes from the Strip. The Red Rock opened last year and even as it opened it was so popular that an addition was built. The rooms in this hotel are both chic and elegant and I am certain you will be pleased with the amenities. The public areas are equally stylish and the hotel boasts three very fine restaurants along with myriad other dining choices.

Our Welcome Reception will take place at the Cherry Night Club at the hotel. Cherry is owned by Rande Gerber, better known as the proprietor of the Whiskey Bar and husband of Cindy Crawford. We have rented the entire club (both inside and outside) for the reception and we can stay for the night after our party is over.

On Friday, we will have free time in the afternoon. Robert Caldwell, Arrangements Chair, will be hosting the golf outing at the Arroyo Course. In addition, we will inaugurate our first ever TIPS Friday Afternoon Pool Party for those who want a different taste of the Vegas scene. If you prefer, you can hike in the red rocks, go shopping or take advantage of everything else that Las Vegas has to offer.

During the meeting, we will also host our first ever TIPS World Poker Championship. This will be a fun event and you do not need any experience playing poker to participate. Although there will be a winner, we are holding this event to raise money to donate to one or more charities and hence, the real reason for this event.

Finally, our main gathering will be on Saturday night where we have rented out the deck at the award winning Pure. Pure is a combination of four of the Strip’s hottest nightclubs under one roof. The deck at Pure overlooks the Strip and is the number 1 spot for New Year’s partying and revelers. Again, this promises to be a really fun event and we have arranged as part of our ticket price for those who want to spend the night at Pure to be able to stay without dealing with the velvet rope or paying an admission fee. It doesn't’t get much better than that!

Do not rent a car unless you really need one. Red Rock offers complimentary shuttles to the airport and the Strip. There is so much to do at the Red Rock. Other than Saturday night, you never need to leave the property. In addition to the typical casino amenities, Red Rock has a world class spa, an incredible bowling center and a multiplex movie theater.

It’s going to be a wild time but you deserve it for all the hard work you are doing to make TIPS so great!!!
