HEALTH AND DISABILITY INSURANCE LAW COMMITTEE

The Health and Disability Insurance Law concentrates on matters relating to health, disability, long-term care, accident, medical and hospital expense insurance contracts. Examines the laws and the regulation of laws governing the health and disability areas, including state insurance laws; ERISA; ADA and COBRA; and the interplay between state and federal law. In addition, the Committee focuses on relationships among insurers; insured, third-party administrators; health care providers; plan sponsors and fiduciaries; and managed care entities.

For enrollment in a committee of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section, simply fill out the on-line committee application form.

Please note:  If you are already a Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section member, you may join up to three (3) committees at no additional cost. However, if you are not a Section member, you must join the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section first.
