Nothing But Net -- Summer 2001

As the world moves more online, so do we here at TIPS and ESLR. Our committee listserv is just one example of how TIPS committees can serve their members by bringing committee activities to committee members online. Another example is our ESLR committee website <http://www.abanet.org/tips/eslr/home.html>. Our website provides committee members with the current views of the committee chair, updates on committee programs, and recent case updates. But how can we bring even more of our committee to our members by using technology? To answer this question we need to hear from YOU!

Do you, as a TIPS member and a member of ESLR, want to receive more from your Section and committee via email or the Internet? If so, what would you like to receive? Would you prefer to receive the committee Newsletter via email? If so, do you want to receive a simple email message with a digest of articles and links to those articles on the ESLR website? Or would you rather receive an email message telling you that the Newsletter is online on the web site for you to download and print in a similar format to that which you receive today?

These are very important questions because the TIPS Council, the decision-making body for this Section, is seriously considering eliminating printed committee newsletters. How do you feel about this? Is the ESLR Newsletter important to you? Do you want to receive it in paper format mailed to your office or home, or would you rather have it distributed in some fashion electronically? You need to let your ESLR committee leadership know how you feel about this issue now. Please email us and let us know. This is your committee and we need to hear from you on whether you want committee information disseminated electronically B especially the Newsletter.

Finally, as we provide more and more information to TIPS/ESLR members electronically, it becomes essential that TIPS have your email address. If you have not received a message from our ESLR committee listserv <eslrcom@abanet.org> during 2001, it means that TIPS does NOT have your correct email address. Please email tips@abanet.org or me with your current and correct email address so that TIPS and ESLR can continue to provide you with committee information directly to your email in-box. You can reach me at lschiffe@llgm.com.
