Our Mission

The Task Force on Asbestos Litigation  is charged with reviewing and evaluating the ABA adopted "ABA Standard for Non-Malignant Asbestos-Related Disease Claims" in light of the pending federal legislative proposals including the current "Fairness in Asbestos Injury Resolution Act of 2003" or the "FAIR Act of 2003" by Senators Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Patrick Leahy (D-VT). Failing a resolution in Congress, the Task Force will consider or create other proposals. The Task Force is also charged with apprising TIPS members and the public with recent developments.
