SS:01: Advanced Word Processing Skills for Support Staff (and Lawyers Too!)

Saturday, April 22, 2006 | 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.

Adriana Linares, Paul Unger

From the simplest e-mail to a complex pleading or agreement, we all spend hours every day pounding on a keyboard to crank out documents. This session will take your word processing skills to the next level. We'll start with a review of the power features in Word, and some keyboard shortcuts for working faster. Then we'll move into document formatting, and tackle one of the most powerful Word features: styles. You'll also learn how to change default settings to make Word work the way you want, be more efficient with document automation and using precedents, build complex documents with tables of contents and cross references and more. Learn to thrive in a Word world, even if you were born and raised on WordPerfect.
