Model Rules of Professional Conduct
Hosted by the ABA's Center for Professional Responsibility, the Model Rules are the ABA's recommendation on ethics rules which are then used by the state bodies responsible for regulating the practice of law to develop enforceable rules of conduct.

Technology and Ethics Essentials for Paralegals
Presented on March 27, 2003, at the Annual Meeting of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) in Newport, R.I. Focuses on the issues facing paralegals and other legal professionals when using technology and especially the Internet to provide legal services. Coverage begins with a history of the paralegal and legal professions, then addresses the implications of newly evolving definitions of the terms "paralegal" and "practice of law" against a backdrop of longstanding ethical prohibitions against the unauthorized practice of law (UPL). Both the ABA Model Rules and the rules promulgated by the national paralegal organizations are addressed.
