LTRC Services
The ABA's Legal Technology Resource Center is the starting point for attorneys seeking information about implementing and understanding technology. The LTRC provides resources including articles, presentations, electronic discussion forums, surveys, comparative studies, and more. The Center offers services such as consulting, outreach, and research. LTRC staff develop resources and provide guidance on wide-ranging issues such as electronic filing, universal citation, and wireless technologies.
The Center's staff is active in outreach and educational efforts to lawyers around the country. Our staff have spoken at the Chicago Legaltech and ABA Techshow conferences, in continuing legal education programs for state and local bars, and to the National Conference of Bar Presidents. We provide a variety of resources at our http://www.lawtechnology.org website, as well as publish in periodicals such as Law Office Computing, Law Technology News, the Wisconsin Law Journal, and the Philadelphia Bar Association Bar Reporter.
Specific services that we provide for the legal profession include:
- telephone or e-mail research and assistance for ABA members seeking information on practice technology;
- virtual and on-site consulting for law schools, bar associations, and other organizations on use of technology;
- customized presentations on current technology issues and topics for bar associations, legal technology conferences, and law firms;
- specialized services for bar associations and foundations, including website evaluation and technology audits.
