- "E-mail Communications for Client Matters--A Multinational Survey" by Lance Johnson, Kojiro Furusawa, Juan Carlos Ojám, Steven L. Nemetz, Andrew Braithwaite, and John Dean is a new article found at LegalEthics.com. It includes sections on the United States, Japan, Argentina, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
- The Law Society of Alberta, Canada, created a subcommittee on Ethics and the New Technology to tie its Code of Professional Conduct to particular areas of technology. The subcommittee produced Guidelines on Ethics and the New Technology including sections on competence, law on the Internet, confidentiality and the Internet, software piracy, and advertising.
