RSS: An Introduction

 

What is RSS & How Do I Access It?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a technology for sharing and distributing the latest web content. With RSS news feeds, you can identify the content that's most relevant to you and have it delivered to your desktop. Many major content providers, such as the New York Times, CNN and BBC provide news feeds.

In order to view RSS content, you must first download an RSS Reader*. Below is a list of some popular stand-alone RSS Readers and other ways to access RSS feeds that are free of charge. (All of the following links will take you to another web site.)

How Do I Subscribe?

The Government Submission news feed can be added to your news reader program by the following method:
