THE SECTION’S COMMITTEES - YOU INVITED TO PARTICIPATE

Condemnation Law – Addresses issues relating to the exercise of governments’ power of eminent domain.

Environmental Law – Considers all aspects of environmental law and regulation affecting state and local government units, with special emphasis on air, water, and waste.

Ethics – Monitors and reports on significant developments in legal ethics affecting state and local government lawyers.

Government Operations & Liability Operations – Addressing a wide variety of issues including local government organization and management, ordinances and administrative regulations, and public election law.

Homeland Security – Helps state and local government lawyers prepare for and respond to the legal and intergovernmental issues related to the threat of natural and non-natural disasters and emergencies.

Land Use Planning & Zoning – Focuses on current developments in the field of planning, zoning and land use.

Public Education – ; Deals with all types of legal issues applicable to publicly owned and operated educational facilities at the primary, secondary and college levels.

Public Finance – Focuses on financing activities of state and local governments, including public borrowing and all forms of state and local taxation.
