Mission and Goals -- Section Officers Conference

At the 2007 ABA Annual Meeting in San Francisco, California, members of the ABA Section Officers Conference adopted the following as the new mission of the Conference:

Advancing the interests of ABA Sections, Divisions and Forums.

The four goals of the Conference are as follows:

I. Facilitate advocacy of the interests of ABA Sections, Divisions and Forums.

II. Facilitate effective communication between and among ABA entities and ABA Sections, Divisions and Forums.

III. Serve as a central resource for ABA Section, Division and Forum member leaders of information, networking opportunities, best practices and support for the growth and health of ABA Sections, Divisions and Forums.

IV. Support the resolution of divergent views among ABA Sections, Divisions and Forums.
