Register on-line today at www.abanet.org/cle/programs/t08irb1.html or by phone: 800.285.2221 and select option “2,” event code: CET8IRB.

Join the Section's Homeland Security Committee

The Homeland Security Committee focuses on legal and policy issues related to the role of science and technology in the nation's homeland security efforts, and issues surrounding the development and utilization of innovative and emerging technologies.  We have sponsored a number of fascinating programs, including a discussion at last year’s ABA Annual Meeting with two members of Congress and the Directors of the House Homeland Security Committee.

Check out the Homeland Security Symposium in the Spring 2007 issue of Jurimetrics, focusing on the theme “Five Years After the Creation of the Department of Homeland Security: The Role of Science, Technology, and Law in Securing Our Nation.”

Don’t miss our two upcoming programs this winter, which will focus on issues of Interoperability and Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity.   Join the Committee to participate in cutting edge projects and get the latest information about developments in homeland security.

The Committee Chairs invite you to participate in our monthly conference calls beginning in January.  These meetings will provide an opportunity to plan and work on a variety of projects – members with all levels of experience in homeland security are welcome, from seasoned professionals to law students.  Committee members may assist and/or lead in these efforts, and are encouraged to suggest ideas for other topics and activities to pursue.  Please join the Committee and watch for an announcement of the date and time of the committee teleconference.
