Information Security Law Teleconference
July 20, 2004 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time

The Section will offer a 90 Minute CLE teleconference "Information Security and the Law" on Tuesday, July 20th at 1:00 p.m.Eastern Time.

In the areas of information security and privacy, questions continue to arise regarding numerous issues, including liability, compliance, and incident response. Though the government has produced the National Plan to Secure Cyberspace containing numerous recommendations for improving information security, attorneys dealing with information security have not had a concise summary of the issues...until now.

Based on select chapters of Information Security: A Legal, Business, and Technical Handbook produced by the Information Security Committee within the Section of Science and Technology of the ABA, this teleconference will discuss threats to information security, compliance issues, liability, incident response, and risk management, along with new developments in this ever-changing area of the law.
