Section News

Dear Colleague:

It is my distinct pleasure to invite you to attend the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section's 18th Annual Real Property and Estate Planning Symposia in Washington, D.C. on April 26 - 28, 2007. These Symposia contain two full days of cutting edge, accredited CLE programs, featuring some of the most highly regarded practitioners and professors in the fields. We are especially looking forward to our keynote luncheon speech by James B. Stewart (http://www.roycecarlton.com/speakers/stewart.html), the author of many national bestsellers including Den of Thieves (about Wall Street in the '80s). Because the Symposia are being held in conjunction with the Spring Meeting of the Section leadership, you will have a wonderful opportunity to combine CLE with networking, committee and group activities, and just plain fun.

Washington, D.C. is an exciting place, whether you travel alone or bring your family– easy to get to and full of both shopping and cultural activities. Full meeting details including detailed information on CLE programs, hotel information, registration, social events and meeting schedules are available on the website at www.abanet.org/rppt/2007.

The Symposia will be held at the Fairmont and The Park Hyatt Hotels, which are but a street width apart from each other and are located in beautiful West End of Washington, D.C. Additional sleeping rooms have also been reserved at the Westin hotel across the street. These hotels have ready access to the prime shopping and dining of historic Georgetown, with the vibrant DuPont Circle and Foggy Bottom neighborhoods, Golden Triangle business district and national monuments a short stroll away.

I look forward to seeing you in Washington, D.C. this April!
