The ABA Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section (RPTE) is a leading national forum for lawyers, and currently has over 30,000 members. The Real Property Division addresses all legal aspects of property use, ownership, development, transfer, regulation, financing, taxation and disposal. The Trust and Estate Division addresses all aspects of trusts, estate planning, employee benefits, insurance, and trust and estate litigation.

Group or Committee Participation - Get Involved!
Join a group or committee and collaborate with your colleagues from across the country via face-to-face meetings, conference calls and list serve discussion groups. Group and committee membership is free of charge to all Section members.

Continuing Legal Education
Keep current with your law specialty or easily fulfill your mandatory CLE requirements. Attend a conference offering CLE credits, participate in one or more of our numerous CLE Teleconferences/Webcasts, or take an online course. Additionally, CLE program materials from past "live" conferences, audio teleconferences and teleconferences/webcasts are available online.

Join The RPTE Section

If you're already an ABA member, simply add the Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law to your membership. The Section dues are $50 annually. Use your ABA membership ID to log in to the ABA website. Your password is your last name in lowercase letters. To join by phone or mail, contact the ABA Service Center at 800-285-2221 to speak with a membership representative. You must first be a member of the ABA to join the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section.
