The Lineup:
B-1 Economics,
Technology and Practice Methods
The mission of this committee is to collect data about
practice methods as they are affected by technology
and as they impact the economics of practice. Its further
mission is to study the data and to illustrate Section
member opportunities to improve the delivery of legal
services in a way that will improve the quality of the
legal product, make a positive impact on the enjoyment
of law practice, and help Section members to be more
effective in attracting clients to their law practices.
The committee circulates its work product through ABA
publications and through programs at ABA meetings.

Dispute Resolution
The committee's role is to explore and communicate
techniques for resolving disputes which arise in the
context of real estate transactions and ownership. The
committee addresses alternative approaches to documenting
real estate transactions and ownership in order to facilitate
dispute resolution. It researches and communicates developments
relating to various methods of dispute resolution including
litigation, arbitration and other alternatives to dispute
resolution. It also explores evolving dispute resolution
techniques such as mediation, mini-trials, etc. and
examines disputes in various substantive areas of real
estate law.
