Recording fees vary from county to county, and each county may have additional requirements with respect to cover pages, etc. PA Transfer taxes are based on the market value of the property, and there may be transfer taxes on transfers to trusts:
In PA the Comonwealth gets 1%, counties generally also get 1%, except Philadelphia, which gets 3% (Yes that's a total of 4% on real property transfers in Philadelphia). There are also categories of exempt transfers. NJ transfer taxes go by stated consideration, on a sliding scale. I do not provide title searches or other title services. If I am asked to take care of recording, there will be a service fee in addition to recording fees assessed by the County. For services other than preparation of the Deed and associated documents required to record the Deed, my fee will be based on additional time at my hourly rate.
