Who May Enter: Open to all current Section members to recruit new Section lawyer and/or associate members.

Deadlines: The Recruitment Contest will be launched at the Section’s 2007 Spring Symposia in Washington D.C. beginning April 26, 2007. The Recruitment Contest will conclude on March 17, 2008. Winners will be notified on March 20, 2008 and announced at the Section’s 2008 Spring Symposia in Washington D.C.

Recruitment Contest Elements: To enter the Recruitment Contest, a Section member (a “Referring Member”) refers a lawyer and/or associate candidate for membership in the Section. The Referring Member is given credit for each lawyer/associate who joins the Section. To ensure proper credit is given, these procedures should be followed:

1. Referring Member directs potential member to the New Member Enrollment Form which is posted on the Section’s website http://www.abanet.org/rppt/recruitmentcontest

2. Potential member completes form, inserts Referring Member’s name in the appropriate space on the form, and returns the form, along with payment of first year dues, to Amanda Johnson in the Section office (see contact details below).

• 3. Referring Members should alert Amanda Johnson that they are participating in the contest by sending an email to johnsona@staff.abanet.org with a subject line: Recruitment Contest

Prizes:

• Recruit 1 new Section member and Referring Member receives an honorable mention in Probate & Property.
• For every 3 new members recruited, the Referring Member’s name will be entered into a raffle (e.g., a Referring Member who recruits 9 new members will be entered 3 times).
• Raffle prizes – three names will be selected at random (first name pulled chooses a prize; second name pulled chooses from the remaining two prizes; third name pulled will receive the remaining prize).
• Expense paid trip to 2008 Spring Symposia (coach airfare, registration fee and hotel).
• An Apple iPod Nano with a Section teleconference downloaded onto it.
• Laptop computer selected by Section.
• Overall top recruiter will receive a write-up with accompanying photo in Probate & Property along with a wall plaque (Note: A person can only win one of the three prizes, although the overall top recruiter can win a prize as well as receive the overall top recruiter honor.)
