The Reports

About These Reports:

The 39th Annual Philip E. Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning was held the week of January 10, 2005. This issue of E-STATE features three reports from the Institute.

Reports on the Institute have been prepared by Steve R. Akers, Bessemer Trust Company, in addition to the Section’s on-site Reporters.

First, the Section's on site reporters posted Summaries of the Sessions they attended to the ABA-PTL Discussion List and the RPPT Web Site.

Second, Steve Akers has prepared Heckerling 2005 Helpful Hints , an overview of some of the issues discussed at Heckerling that he found particularly interesting, and Rough Notes , a detailed report of some of the proceedings that Steve was able to attend.

The Section’s on-site reporters were Gene Zuspann of Zuspann & Zuspann in Denver, Colorado, Shelly Merritt, a solo practitioner in Boulder, Colorado, Connie T. Eyster of Hutchinson, Black & Cook LLC in Boulder, Colorado, Jason Havens of Havens & Miller PLLC in Destin, Florida, Bruce Stone of Goldman, Felcoski & Stone, PA of Coral Gables, Florida, Herbert L. Braverman of Walter & Haverfield LLP in Cleveland, Ohio, and Jeffry L. Weiler of Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP of Cleveland, Ohio. The editor again is Joseph G.
