For those of you following the recent threads in Professor Randolph’s DIRT and BROKERDIRT, there has been a lot of discussion concerning HUD loans and related issues. As part of those discussions, Howard Lax (of Detroit, MI) has made us aware of Hudclips, an excellent resource of documents, forms, notices and other information involving HUD programs, rules and regulations.

Mobile home parks are a favorite investment of many developers. In addition to there being a variety of state statutes and financing rules regarding these products, HUD has its own set of rules on mobile homes, found at this site. Owners, developers and lenders will all find information of value about mobile homes at this link.

IRS has issued a new tool for understanding its rules regarding the construction industry. The Construction Industry Federal Tax Curriculum provides a detailed overview of income and employment laws related to the construction industry.

Limited liability entities are now widely used for a variety of business purposes, including particularly real estate developments, investments and related projects. This site provides information on statutes of all fifty states related to limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships and limited liability limited partnerships.
