E-dirt LinksLINKS

The links in this issue all relate to housing and accessibility issues.

http://www.fairhousing.com

The National Fair Housing Advocate Online provides valuable information for anyone interested in these issues. Their "links" are particularly helpful in helping people to locate and connect with local fair housing agencies around the country." This link came from Tony Baize, Assistant Director of the Kentucky Fair Housing Council (tony@kentucky.fairhousing.com)

http://www.usdoj.gov/crt/ada/adahom1.htm

This is the home page of the US Department of Justice with respect to all information related to the Americans With Disabilities Act. There are links to relevant federal agencies, publications and federal standards, as well as current news items. This link (as well as the ADA link below) came from Jerry McDonald in Lansing, MI (jerrym@wedolawinlansing.com)

http://www.usdoj.gov/crt/ada/taman3.html

This links the reader to a "plain english" version of the Technical Assistance Manual regarding the ADA. There is a great deal of useful Q&A here on the various issues raised by the ADA, and this will be an excellent reference tool for anyone with ADA issues. NOTE: There is no "date" on this manual, so be careful with respect to any possible amendments to the ADA after this manual was prepared.
