Philippines (June 2006): Judge-to-Judge Dialogues is part of the ABA Rule of Law Initiative efforts to provide a forum for international exchanges and comparative perspectives.

Judicial reform plays a central role in rule of law promotion efforts. To address the core challenges underlying judicial reform, the Rule of Law Initiative has committed resources to building advanced analytic and training capacity. The Rule of Law Initiative has capitalized on its 17 years of experience to develop its state of the art assessment tool, the Judicial Reform Index. The Rule of Law Initiative programmatic assistance includes establishing legal frameworks for judicial independence, building judicial associations, promoting education and training of judges, strengthening court administration, improving judicial ethics and accountability, and increasing public outreach and media skills.
