Damir Milutinović, Staff Attorney
Damir Milutinović joined the ABA Rule of Law Initiative in July 2005. He works in the areas of Anti-Corruption. Damir graduated from Belgrade Law Faculty’s Department for International Law in 2002. Before joining ABA-ROLI, he worked for the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights where he was the project coordinator charged with poverty eradication and economic and social rights issues. He was also responsible for cooperation with Catholic Relief Services and local NGOs in drafting the Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper. From September 2003 to January 2004, Damir was an Associate of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights. After, he worked for Catholic Relief Services as the local government liaison officer and as the project coordinator for the UNDP-funded cluster within the Judicial Training Center, where he evalutated courses designed for judges and prosecutors.
Since joining the ROLI team, Damir has focused on anti-corruption projects, primarily in the area of Serbia’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Damir organized Serbia’s International Right to Know Day in 2006 and 2007. Other specific projects include coordinating and editing an Assessment on Serbia’s FOIA law as well as organizing and participating in the roll-out ceremony for the Assessment.
