WORKSHOP: EMPOWERING STUDENTS

Empowering Students to Transform Schools and Communities

Tuesday, April 4, 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Gary Goldman, President, International Quality Leadership Institute

The magnitude of the work to transform education and communities is an enormous undertaking, and will take a great forging of partnerships in all sectors of the school community. A comprehensive and human approach, such as this, has to include our missing link, our young people. We hear about them, but not from them. Our young people must become a catalyst for building trust and effective relationships in our schools and communities. We need to capture the imagination of our young people to prepare them as learners and leaders into the 21st century. We will share projects and community forums that include our young people in making a difference.
