| Statement of Intellectual Structure: |
| The Legal Studies major provides an opportunity to study legal ideas, legal institutions, and the legal process, while improving students’ abilities to critically analyze issues, balance conflicting interests, and express themselves clearly and precisely. The purpose of the program is not the training of legal professionals; rather the program is offered for those students interested in the discipline of law as a field of critical inquiry within a framework of a broad liberal arts education. |
