Congratulations on a successful software test. An agreement serves as Part II of the application process. To access other areas of the 2008 Summit, or to return to the main National Online Youth Summit page, use the Summit Menu to the right.

Application Part II: Agreement

Notice: Please read and indicate your agreement to the following before you apply to participate in the National Online Youth Summit.

If I,  , participate in the National Online Youth Summit with my students, I agree that I will:

  • Participate in an asynchronous teacher orientation in a private message board over six weeks (January-February)

  • Log into a private message board reserved just for teachers 2 times per week throughout the project (January-April)

  • Subscribe to a project listserve

  • Complete the four teacher orientation activities (See 2007 Teacher Orientation Activities for examples)

  • Complete 12-14 sequential summit activities designed and provided by the ABA with my students (February-May)

  • Plan to adequately integrate the summit curriculum into my students' course of study

  • Learn the software involved in the summit

  • Complete a final report/evaluation

  • Complete a test on school computers to determine if they will support the summit conferencing software (FuseTalk Software Test provided in part one of the application)

  • Manage, supervise, and monitor my students' use of the summit online discussion environment

  • Inform my school/district technology professional that I have applied to participate in the program
