Spring 2003: "Access Denied: Should Youth Access to the Internet be Restricted?"

The total enrollment of Notheast Highschool is 3,509 students. This student population includes 54.9% whites, 24.7% African Americans. Latinos in the school make up a total of 10.3%, Asians make up a total of 9.9%, and finally the remainder of students with any other ethnicity make up 0.3% of the student population.
There are numerous sports available to students at Northeast Highschool, or NEHS. These extra activities include field hockey, football,soccer, volleyball, basketball, swimming, and baseball. Our school mascot is the Viking. Aside from athletic teams our school offers a variety of other challenging activities. We have a school debate team, mock trial, NAL, school show, SPARC (space aeronautics and robotics), choir, orchestra, marching band, red cross,world affairs,FBLA,NHS,Thespian Society, and many other ethnic clubs and organizations.
Our school is located in the city of Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania. The city has a population of 3,849,647. Demographics are 70.49% whites, 21.79, .18% Native Americans, 3.59% Asians, and 4.75% Hispanics.
From participating in this summit we hope to learn the difference in our large school compared to smaller schools. We also hope to develop more knowledge about the Amendments of the Constitution.
