Spring 2003: "Access Denied: Should Youth Access to the Internet be Restricted?"
Participants
New Kent High School - New Kent, VA
Class: Business Law
We are Mr. Ourso's Business Law class at New Kent High School in wonderful New Kent, Va. New Kent is a rural county, home of the only Virginia thoroughbreed race track. 761 students currently attend NKHS with a make-up of 79.7% wWhite, 17.9% Black, 1.2% American Indian, 1.1% Hispanic, .1% Asian Pacific Islander.
Our class has studied the Bill of Rights, the Constitition, Employment Law, and utilize the monthly newsletter Courtroom & Classroom to initiate very "lively" discussions. We constantly listen to Mr. Ourso's "stories" that come from his business experience of 25 years. "How can someone be so old?" We are constanly amazed that the stories are so revelant to the current topic of study. You would think that he must be "older than dirt." That is what he tells us!
Each of us have our own opinion on the "Access Denied" topic. We are looking forward to "sharing our ideas" and reading others viewpoints.
