Greetings from Moses Lake High School located in Moses Lake, Washington.
Moses Lake High School has a population of about 1,700 Students, freshmen to seniors. We are a public school, mostly Caucasian with a strong Hispanic and Mormon influences. Our daily schedule consists of four classes of 90 minutes each. Seventy-five precent of our freshmen graduate.
Recently remodeled, our school sports excellent academic and athletic facilities; three basketball courts, track, soccer and football field
and a just completed indoor pool. Our athletic reputation grows with every season. The wrestling team has a fifteen year record of 922 wins and 91 losses and our football team was ranked 5th in the state last season.
Moses Lake totes a population of 15,000 in the city limits and about 30,000 in the surrounding area. We are located near the center of the state on the shores of a large man-made lake.
Our major industries are Asimi producers of silicon products, Takata producer of airbag propellents, Genie producer of hydraulic lifts, and Basic American Foods producer of most of McDonalds french fries.
Agriculturally, potatos, beets, and specialty crops are raised on circles, overhead irrigation systems. Beef, dairy and hay are also prosperous.
The sand dunes are well known to ATV enthuasts. The city parks include several baseball fields, a water slide park, two golf courses, batting cages in addition to the county fair grounds.
Big Bend Community College offers students the opportunity to continue their education in Moses Lake, and Central Washington University, Heritage College and Washington State U are near by. Japanese Airlines trains their commercial pilots on the second longest runway on the west coast located here.
Being the 5th largest city in eastern Washington, Moses Lake offers an ideal combination of country and city living.
