Our extracurriculur activities include a nationally recognized Dance &Drill Team; Water Polo; Football; Badminton; Basketball and many others. Our football team won CIF in '97 & '98. Our softball team won CIF last year and our J.V. team was undefeated. Our Mock Trial team went to quarterfinals last year and our school newspaper (nationally recognized) won 1st place in a recent San Gabriel Valley competition.

Our teacher was educated in the US and spent some time in China. He speaks fluent English and Chinese. We have been studying the 1920s and developing PowerPoint presentations on Black History. Mr. Levno srongly emphasizes respect and positive thinking and is very strict on absences and tardies.

Class 2 of 3: U.S. History, Period 2

In Mr. Levno's 2nd period class we have 24 students of which 62% are Latino; 19% are Asian and 19% are White. We are a very cooperative class because Mr. Levno is a considerate teacher who assigns work that keeps us attentive. He is very open-minded and well-rounded and goes out of his way to make history fun & interesting. With a pair of baby twins and a wife at home one can only ask, "How does he do it?"

Class 3 of 3: U.S. History, Period 6

We are Mr. Levno's 6th period class. Our school is one of the best in out of the 4 high schools in our district. Our district is the 3rd largest in Los Angeles County. We have good teachers and a nice principal. We are one of two schools in California with a weekly newspaper and our yearbook is nationally recognized. Our school colors are Cardinal & Gold, we rank high on state tests, run on a traditional schedule and our campus is clean and safe. We like the death penalty project because we don't have to learn about book stuff and we get to use computers.
