Spring 2001: Does Capital Punishment Have a Future?

Participants
Fayetteville High School - Fayetteville, AR
Class: Business/Finance Law

Welcome to Fayetteville High School in Fayetteville, Arkansas! We are here in the northwest corner of the state, where this small suburban town, with only about 52,000 people is located. There are lots of places where you can go out with your friends and have a blast. It has lots of good restaurants, schools, theaters, organizations and sports that you might be interested in. The University of Arkansas if located here.

Our school, consisting of about 1,440 students, is a big part of the Fayetteville community and our lives. It is one of the best high schools in the area when it comes to academics, and the fact that we get open lunch while students at other schools have to wait in line for cafeteria food. We get to go to local restaurants and have a wonderful meal. Our community is very interesting, being a college town, and there is plenty for everyone to do.

Mrs. Clay, our Business Law teacher, was very excited once she found out that our school was one of the 50 that were chosen to be in this summit relating to the death penalty. It means a lot to her to be honored in this way. Thanks for giving us this opportunity to represent our great school in a summit that shows us we can be part of a good organization.
