Participants
Blackfoot High School - Blackfoot, ID
Class: Street Law

We are Mrs. Wasia's Street Law class at Blackfoot High School in Blackfoot, Idaho. Our primary business in this community is agriculture. We have 2 potato processing plants which are Blackfoot's largest single employers. Another large employer is the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory which receives its funding throught the Federal Department of Energy.

There are 1200 students attending Blackfoot High right now. Our population is 79% white, 10% hispanic, 10% Native American, and 1% Asian.

Our school mascot is the Bronco. The closest university is 25 miles away in the city of Pocatello, Idaho State University.

Our most famous graduate is Randy'l Teton who modeled for the sculpture from which the new Sacagawea dollar was made. We are very proud of her.

We are very excited to be part of the summit!
