Participants
Amelia High School - Batavia, OH
Class: Honors U. S. Issues I

We are Mr. Wilson's Honors U.S. Issues class at Amelia High School. Amelia is located southeast of Cincinnati, Ohio. Proctor and Gamble and General Electric are the primary businesses of Cincinnati. Our athletic teams are called the Barons after our mascot the Baron, while our middle school's mascot is the Knight. Our schools colors are blue and white.

We have very strong athletic programs that many are involved in. We are known for our Rhythm in Blue Marching Band, who won a Superior rating at the 1999-2000 state championships. We are also known for our award winning Ambassadors Choir, with top rankings in our state. We have a wide range of clubs including Art club, Ski club, Student Council, and Acedemic team. We also have two successful plays every school year. We are predominantly white (97%), with about 2% African-American and 1% of many different far eastern nationalities. We are in the process of redesigning our school into smaller learning academies.
