Discovering Justice
Boston, MA

Children Discovering Justice (CDJ)
CDJ is an innovative literacy-based social studies program for grades 1-5. The program teaches about history and American government in a way that helps students to see issues from different viewpoints, understand the value of common good versus self-interest, express their opinions in positive ways, and effectively participate in groups. The program is implemented by classroom teachers in approximately 25% of Boston's public elementary schools, as well as in a number of other districts in eastern Massachusetts.
