Freedom Issues

This section includes some talking points and discussion questions designed to help you make presentations on topics related to the "Celebrate Your Freedom" Law Day theme.

They can serve as notes for speeches, act as a catalyst for discussion, or be distributed to the audience as a hand-out. Talks may range from a public conversation among community members and leaders to a single speaker making a presentation to a classroom, to a moderated panel discussion. Remember, too, that these are only suggested topics for discussion, and that there are many other issues—freedom of the press, due process protections, economic freedoms, right to privacy, etc—that might fit under the category of "constitutional freedoms."
