"Celebrate Your Freedom" During National Law Week, April 26 - May 4

National Law Week is a celebration of our country's ideals of quality and justice under laws. This year, Law Week begins Saturday, April 26, and focuses on the theme Celebrate Your Freedom. The Maricopa County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division will participate in the national celebration by sponsoring a variety of local events aimed at enhancing public understanding and access to our legal system.

Community Law Fairs, Saturday, April 26, 1997
Chris-Town Mall, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Tri-City Mall, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sun City Visitor's Center, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Each person will be given a period of approximately 10 minutes to meet with an attorney specializing in the area of law that pertains to his/her concern. The attorney will be able to advise each person on whether the problem warrants obtaining an attorney or other agency to represent the individual or assist with the matter. No appointment is necessary and the consultation is at no cost.

Gold E. Locks on Trial, Saturday, April 26, 1997
The Chris-Town Mall Law Fair features two performances -- 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. -- Gold E. Locks on trial, a delightful children's play featuring Gold E. Locks and the three bears appearing before a real judge! The audience serves as the jury.

Phone-A-Lawyer, Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30, 1997
Phone-A-Lawyer, like the Community Law Fairs, gives the public an opportunity to consult with an attorney. Free consultations by phone are available by dialing 965-1998 on Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Calls will be transferred to the appropriate attorney who can assist with individual questions.
