Producing a Call-in Show
Sample Pitch Letter to TV/Radio Talk Show Producer

Dear (Producer):

Our country’s Constitution was created by a people hungry for freedom. Today, we as Americans are struggling to understand what that document means for us. This year’s theme for Law Day, to be celebrated May 1,  is "The U.S. Constitution: The Original American Dream." This theme gives us an opportunity to explore how our Constitution protects our rights and our dreams.

[Your spokesperson], [title] of [your organization], is available to participate in your Law Day programming as an expert on [property rights, practical law, First Amendment issues, due process and the courts, civil rights, or any other appropriate subject].

I will call you in a week to renew our offer of assistance in programming for Law Day or in providing other expert resources for any legal issues you may be planning to address. In the meantime, we remain eager to help you with accurate and timely legal resources relevant to [your community name] and to the news of the day.

Sincerely,
(contact name)
