- Can I make decisions about my conflict on my own? Can I speak for myself?
- What is the problem I'm concerned about, and why does it trouble me? What do I want?
- What are my facts? What information or documents do I need to show what happened?
- Do I want to continue a relationship with the other person? Do I have a choice?
- Can I focus on the problem, not on the person? Am I willing to compromise?
- Do I want someone else to decide my case?
- Am I willing to talk directly with the other person?
- Am I willing to explore different solutions to the conflict?
- What steps am I willing to take to help correct the problem?
- Do I want to make a public example of the wrongs the other side did?
- How can I be sure the other person will uphold his/her part of the agreement?
- What can I do if we can't come to an agreement?
