  • What are my facts? What information or documents do I need to show what happened?
  • Do I want to continue a relationship with the other person?  Do I have a choice?
  • Can I focus on the problem, not on the person? Am I willing to compromise?
  • Do I want someone else to decide my case?
  • Am I willing to talk directly with the other person?
  • Am I willing to explore different solutions to the conflict?
  • What steps am I willing to take to help correct the problem?
  • Do I want to make a public example of the wrongs the other side did?
  • How can I be sure the other person will uphold his/her part of the agreement?
  • What can I do if we can't come to an agreement?
