Friday, May 1 - Statewide Law Day awards ceremony and luncheon: the Texas statewide winners of the poster, editorial, and photograph contests come to the Texas Law Center for an awards ceremony and luncheon. Following the festivities, they are given a special VIP tour of the Supreme Court of Texas.

February 11 - State Bar of Texas co-sponsored a Worlds Affair Council event with author James McPherson addressing the crowd with a presentation, Abraham Lincoln - Comander in Chief
June 26 -Doris Kearns Goodwin, Pulitzer-prize winning author and historian, is addresses attendees with speech, Lessons from Lincoln, at the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting.

Our Ben Wendelken S. Inn of Court in conjunction with the El Paso County Bar Association will host the third Law Day Race May 29, 2009 in Monument Valley Park. This is the third year for the race that benefits local nonprofit agencies that serve and protect the children of our community.
